It's Heidi k.
I have always had a passion for taking pictures, however I did not always know I would be working as a professional photographer. I grew up here in the Pacific Northwest, with a strong love for people and animals. I am grateful to have had parents who fostered an artistic outlet for myself and my two sisters. Later on in life I obtained a degree in social work and picked up photography as a hobby. I found myself working with my camera more and more, capturing the diverse beauty of human expression. I knew I had found my calling, however it wasn’t until I shot my first wedding that I had stumbled upon a true passion.
Documenting the emotion of family and love moved me in ways I cannot describe with words. I am now a wife and mother of two, learning how to accept the reality of fleeting time. My journey through motherhood and leaning into the love-filled chaos has taught me so much. It has also matured the heart of my passion, and fueled my desire to photograph full time. I have found that the art of capturing what exists today, intrinsic to the joy of reflection.
